Azerbaijani athlete Fidan Gurbanli competed at the 42nd World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships, which are being held in Frankfurt, Germany, from August 12 through August 16. This was announced in a report released by the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation. According to the report, the prestigious competition, which is included in the World Gymnastics calendar, features about 300 gymnasts from different countries of the world.
"The championships are held in the famous Festhalle arena in Frankfurt. Fidan Gurbanli represented Azerbaijan in the individual program at the championships. Azerbaijani representative, performing with hoop, ball, clubs, and ribbon, scored a total of 75,350 points in the all-around and ranked 43rd in the final ranking of the competition," the report said.
Meanwhile, the 42nd FIG Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships are taking place from August 12 through 16, 2026, at the historic Festhalle in Frankfurt, Germany.
