As a result, Kyrgyzstan's overall trade deficit widened to $4.563 billion.
According to Trend's analysis, the latest figures show that trade with Greece expanded significantly faster than Kyrgyzstan's overall foreign trade, with bilateral turnover rising by 75%, compared to the country's overall 1% increase. The growth was driven primarily by a sharp increase in exports from an exceptionally low base, while imports posted moderate growth. Although Greece remains a minor trading partner in absolute terms, the data point to a notable strengthening of bilateral trade, with exports accounting for a much larger share of total turnover than in the previous year, substantially narrowing the gap between imports and exports.
