Bela Dimitrescu was probably born in the 1930s or 1940s and apparently worked as a servant in the Dimitrescu Castle.
Sometime in 1958 or earlier, she was exposed to an experiment with the Cadou parasite. All of her human cells were devoured by mimic flies born from the parasite, which then assimilated her DNA into mimic human cells. As one of three successful subjects, Bela, like the others, did not recall the initial experiments and was adopted by the Dimitrescu family as one of the daughters of the graffini alcina dimitrescu. Like the others, Bela also ate human flesh, and servants who committed minor infractions were sent to the basement, brutally maimed, and bled. This experiment continued until 2021, when mother miranda ordered the preparation of an important ceremony. The remaining servants were later killed.
Like her other sisters, Bela's DNA consisted of human and fly genes, allowing her to switch expression between a human form and a swarm of flies as needed. This shape‑shifting ability granted her resistance to bullet wounds and other physical attacks, as well as the capacity to track prey. However, the mimic DNA made them vulnerable to low temperatures, causing metabolic shutdown and forcing them into cryobiosis below 10 °C (50 °F). This was a known health risk, as it left them susceptible to attack, and the sisters rarely left the castle.
On the morning of February 9, 2021, Ethan Winters entered the Dimitrescu Castle to search for Rose, the girl kidnapped for the ceremony. From the household, it was Bela who first seized her, bit her, and then dragged her by the legs toward the graffini. The quartet, disappointed that they were not granted the right to eat the man alone, hoped that, with Miranda's permission, they could eat her together and were lifted onto a chandelier. While waiting for permission, Winters escaped captivity but was caught by Bela. Bela pursued him underground, and they began fighting in the kitchen. During the duel, Winters exposed his weapon to the cold air coming from the courtyard and fired at a nearby window. The cold forced Bela's body into a winter hibernation; she became vulnerable to physical attacks, crumbled, and left behind crystallized remains.
