2 Braves Stars Suddenly Emerge as Top Trade Candidates

Atlanta Braves stars Ronald Acuna Jr. and Ozzie Albies have both been named top offseason trade candidates to watch.

The Atlanta Braves fell to the Los Angeles Dodgers in the NLDS this postseason, and now some big trade rumors are already surrounding them. Braves star Ronald Acuna Jr. and Ozzie Albies were both recently named top MLB trade candidates to watch during this offseason by Bleacher Report's Joel Reuter. Acuna was given the No. 1 spot on Reuter's trade board.

It would be a franchise-altering move if the Braves traded Acuna, as he is their top superstar. "The 2023 NL MVP and face of the franchise had a good-not-great 2026 season, and a quick move to scrub the Braves from his Instagram account immediately after they were eliminated from the playoffs fueled speculation a split might be on the horizon this winter," Reuter wrote about Acuna. As for Albies, he was given the No. 24 spot on Reuter's trade board.

While he is not as big of a name as Acuna, it would still be significant if Atlanta traded him. Keep in mind, the four-time MLB All-Star has spent his entire 10-year career with the Braves. However, if the Braves want to shake up their roster following their disappointing postseason, Acuna and Albies would be two very valuable trade chips for them to dangle.

Thus, they could both be players to watch on the Braves this offseason. Acuna appeared in 107 games this season for the Braves, posting 20 home runs, 55 RBI, and a .255 batting average. As for Albies, he recorded 22 home runs, 73 RBI, and a .237 batting average in 162 games this season with the Braves.
