Veteran tight end George Kittle suffered a torn Achilles injury during the San Francisco 49ers' wild card win over the Philadelphia Eagles on Jan. 11. Now just a few months later, Kittle carries no injury designation into the 49ers' Week 1 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams in Melbourne, Australia. Kittle was limited in practice throughout the week, but is now fully off the injury report.
He and Nick Bosa (knee) will both take the field for the 49ers' season-opening contest on Thursday night. "Body feels really good," Kittle said earlier this week, via 49ersWebZone. "It's bounced back really good.
I'd say I've really taken a step back ... towards playing. But besides that, don't know what the workload is." Kittle is entering his 10th season as a superstar tight end for the 49ers. Through 11 regular-season games last year, he reeled in 57 catches for 628 yards and seven touchdowns.
Thursday night's game between the 49ers and Rams will kick off at 8:35 p.m.
