After a disappointing 7-9 finish last season and failing to reach the postseason, the Dallas Cowboys could be in store for a significant turnaround this coming season. ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter recently declared, "The Dallas Cowboys are coming," and his colleague Stephen A. Smith could have a worry-filled season.
According to Schefter, this has been a much more "peaceful" and "productive" summer for the Cowboys than they've had previously. "You mentioned the drama, right?" he said on "Get Up," adding, "There was nothing about CeeDee Lamb wanting a new contract this summer, holding out. There was nothing about Dak Prescott wanting a contract that gets done on opening day, hours before the kickoff against the Cleveland Browns.

Last season, the Cowboys had the NFL's second-best offense, averaging 391.9 yards per game, mostly due to their strong passing game.
This team is likely to keep displaying that firepower with Dak Prescott throwing to Lamb, Pickens, and tight end Jake Ferguson, among others. However, their defense was their glaring weakness. They allowed opponents to score 30.1 points per game, compared to Dallas scoring 27.7 per game.
The team made several notable moves this offseason to address that, including signing Super Bowl champion edge rusher Von Miller and trading for edge rusher Rashan Gary. Defensive tackles Quinnen Williams and Kenny Clark will also star for the Cowboys' defense. Could Dallas surprise people this coming season?
