AFC Team Making Calls About Marvin Harrison Jr Trade: Report

Teams are reportedly doing their due diligence when it comes to considering a trade for Cardinals WR Marvin Harrison Jr.

After his disappointing start to the 2026 NFL season, Marvin Harrison Jr. has emerged as one of the leading trade targets before this year's deadline. Harrison, the No. 4 overall pick from the 2024 draft, has just five catches for 85 yards and one touchdown through the first four games of the year. He was drafted with the expectation that he would become the team's clear WR1 of the future, but he currently trails Michael Wilson, Trey McBride and Kendrick Bourne in receiving to open up his third NFL campaign.

ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter recently reported that multiple teams are doing their due diligence when it comes to considering a possible trade for Harrison. When prompted by Pat McAfee, Schefter indicated that the Indianapolis Colts are one of those teams. "Wouldn't that make a lot of sense," Schefter replied.

The Colts are thin at the wide receiver position following injuries for Alec Pierce and Keenan Allen. Additionally, Harrison's father — Marvin Harrison Sr. — is one of the greatest players in Colts franchise history. The Cardinals are 1-3 to begin the year following Sunday's Week 4 loss to the New York Giants.

Harrison reeled in just one catch for 12 yards, but it resulted in his first touchdown score of the year. The Colts are now 2-2 after notching their second straight win over the Washington Commanders in London.
