The danger is a company using AI to generate content, and mistaking a high volume of output for a compelling identity.

AI has made it easier than ever to sound identical to everyone else, and that is one of the greatest risks facing businesses today. We can generate a thousand social media posts, produce polished campaigns in minutes, and automate entire workflows with a few prompts. Yet something unsettling is happening amid all this abundance.

The music sounds familiar, the marketing looks interchangeable, and the businesses we once recognized by their personality now feel like lackluster clones of one another. We have become remarkably good at producing things and entirely careless about deciding what deserves to exist. I believe the solution begins with a fundamental difference.

The friction is productive.

Alignment forged through conversation gives an organization something coherent to express to the world. I believe in this process so strongly that we built a house in Missouri to host our clients for in-person brand workshops. We wanted a place where people could think together and work through challenging decisions and assumptions in the same room.

Human exchange supplies the intellectual and emotional groundwork for everything that follows. Technology can then help carry those ideas further, faster. The danger emerges when businesses reverse this order.
