Al Pacino will be honored with SAG-AFTRA’s Life Achievement Award for his career and humanitarian accomplishments at the Actor Awards. The “Scarface” actor will receive the union’s top tribute at the Actor Awards ceremony on Feb. 28, 2027 at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. The Life Achievement Award is given annually to an actor who fosters “the finest ideals of the acting profession,” according to the union.
Pacino won the best actor Oscar for “Scent of a Woman” and has also earned two Tony Awards, two Primetime Emmy Awards and two Actor Awards. Among his other accolades are the AFI Life Achievement Award, the Golden Globes’ Cecil B. DeMille Award, a Kennedy Center Honor and a Venice Career Golden Lion.

It’s an honor to be recognized by SAG-AFTRA in celebrating the journey.” Pacino’s Oscar nominations have included his performances in “The Godfather,” “Serpico,” “The Godfather Part II,” “Dog Day Afternoon,” “And Justice for All,” “Dick Tracy,” “Glengarry Glen Ross” and “The Irishman.” His humanitarian efforts have included supporting the Shakespeare Center of Los Angeles, receiving the Humanitarian Award from the Southern California Chapter of the Arthritis Center and participating in disaster relief and global advocacy.
