Despite the movie being a documentary, fans are fully on board with Amanda getting a Best Supporting Actress nomination for playing Elizabeth Holmes. Yeah, she was technically being herself playing someone else—but she was still acting and her performance was brilliant.

As for whether Amanda can technically be nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a documentary, Variety reports that (1) she certainly can, and (2) A24 is actively launching a campaign for her.
