Amber Eggers, who appeared in the 2019 season of WE TV’s reality series “Love After Lockup,” died Sept. 3 of acute liver failure at a hospital in Georgia. Her death was confirmed to TMZ by her mother Monica Eggers. It documents the ups and downs of their relationships once they are released and together in person.
Eggers, who was serving a four-year sentence for drug trafficking, was featured in Season 2 where her partner Vincent Gonzalez proposed to her on the show. Their relationship ended after her prison release. She made several cameo appearances in subsequent seasons of the franchise, including “Life After Lockup,” starting around 2021.
In 2025, Eggers’ health began to decline. Her sister Erin created a GoFundMe page announcing that she was hospitalized with severe pneumonia and a bacterial infection in her blood. The medical bills were putting a strain on her family, Erin Eggers said.
Right now, she needs all of that strength for the fight of her life.” Over a year later, Eggers was hospitalized again “because she wasn’t feeling well,” Monica Eggers told TMZ. She added, “doctors couldn’t keep Amber’s heart beating any longer and she ultimately died from acute liver failure.
