A former Ohio music pastor and American Idol contestant was convicted of murder Tuesday in the killing of his wife while he was having an affair. Caleb Flynn was accused of shooting his wife, Ashley Flynn, and staging the scene to look like a home invasion in February. The 40-year-old, who claimed his wife was killed by a burglar, could face life in prison without the possibility of parole.
He closed his eyes, shook his head and struggled to maintain his composure as the judge read the guilty verdicts on charges of murder, felonious assault and tampering with evidence. During the trial, Flynn’s former mistress testified that he told her he hated his wife and had considered killing her. This is a breaking news story and will be updated.
