Once known mainly for supplying telecom and fiber-optic components, Lumentum Holdings (LITE) has moved closer to the heart of the artificial intelligence (AI) buildout, where data centers increasingly demand faster, higher-bandwidth connections. The strategic shift is becoming visible in its financial results. The company delivered Q4 FY2026 results, with revenue and earnings beating Wall Street expectations and extending its streak to eight consecutive quarters of revenue growth.

Sales increased by triple digits year-over-year (YOY), powered by demand for optical components used in AI data centers, reinforcing its AI-driven growth narrative. TD Cowen said management's commentary on demand remained consistent with previous quarters and intra-quarter messaging, suggesting little deterioration in the environment.

The firm believes investor models were already ahead of Street estimates, yet it still raised its financial forecasts and introduced a fiscal 2028 EPS estimate above $30.
