Anthony Boyle, the “House of Guinness” star soon to be seen playing Sam Bankman-Fried in Netflix’s “The Altruists,” is set to lead upcoming Sky Original drama “Charmer.” The eight-part series, now in production, comes from Working Title Television and Story Films, with Siena Kelly (“Black Mirror,” “Adult Material”), Connor Swindells (“The Entertainment System Is Down,” “SAS Rogue Heroes”) and Sophie Wilde (“Digger,” “Talk to Me”) also among the key cast. Created and written by Thomas Aspell, “Charmer” is directed by Elliot Hegarty, whose credits also include “Rivals,” “Ted Lasso” and “Bad Education.” Additional episodes are written by Melissa Bubnic, Constance Cheng and Anna Ssemuyaba, with Dionne Edwards directing block two. Tom’s scripts are fantastic, heartfelt, funny and smart.
