Presented from London’s Natural History Museum, the film consists of segments from different contributors focusing on how humans can work with nature to build a safe and thriving future. Main contributors on the film include climate justice activist Xiye Bastida; field biologist, wildlife filmmaker and explorer Dan O’Neill; and former White House chef and senior policy advisor on nutrition Sam Kass. Ahead of the YouTube release, the film is making a series of regional premieres and screenings in Switzerland, Australia, Ecuador, the Netherlands, Hong Kong, Singapore, New Zealand and the United States.
On Sept. 20, a special screening and Q&A of the documentary will kick off New York Climate Week at the Climate Film Festival in New York. The film’s release will be supported by a global impact campaign in partnership with a network of NGOs, UN Agencies and educational institutions. Watch the trailer for “How to Live on Earth” below.
