A couple of months ago, the hardnosed Buffalo rap veteran released his one-off single "Summer '26," the latest in an annual series. Today, Benny's back with a new single called "Elevate." Technically, it's credited to both Benny and his Black Soprano Family crew, but Benny is the only one who raps on it. On "Elevate," Benny talks frankly about his last few years moving into and then back out of the major-label system, making good money without ever moving out of harm's way.
It's Benny in motivational hustle mode, and the beat, from producer Moose Tarantino, combines Southern rap boom with '80s-movie synths in ways that remind me of early Rick Ross. Check out the video below. Benny's new Black Soprano Family compilation A Friend Of Ours 2 is out 11/13 on Perfect Time Music Group.
