The opening prices of bitcoin and ethereum this morning rebounded from lower prices over the weekend, but then reversed course in early trading. Crypto prices don't seem to be gaining any meaningful momentum following President Trump's announcement on Sunday that the U.S. paused planned airstrikes against Iran. Geopolitical tensions remain a key headwind for crypto investors, but it's certainly not the only market component keeping a lid on price growth.
Security issues and stalling legislation are also key components limiting crypto prices from making a more meaningful recovery.
