Punk rapper Bobby Vylan will face no further action from the Met Police for chanting "death, death to the IDF (Israel Defense Forces)" at an Al Quds Day demonstration in central London. The force said it had investigated chants made by the performer on 15 March at a static rally held on the Albert Embankment. A Met Police spokesperson said they looked into the language used, adding they "recognised the concerns caused, particularly among London's Jewish communities".
The artist, whose real name is Pascal Robinson-Foster, performs as one half of the duo Bob Vylan. The Met said "early investigative advice was sought from the Crown Prosecution Service. "Following consideration of that advice, officers have concluded that no further action will be taken.
"We continue to work closely with community representatives to ensure the safety and security of Jewish Londoners." Posting on social media, Robinson-Foster said he would "not be intimidated" by the prospect of legal repercussions. That investigation also related to chants of "death, death to the IDF" and other comments made during the band's June 2025 performance, which was also broadcast via a livestream on the BBC iPlayer.
