Broncos' Bo Nix Makes NFL History in Win Over Chiefs

The Denver Broncos have something special in quarterback Bo Nix.

Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix was able to lead his team to a 28-24 comeback win over the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 8 after trailing 24-13 with 10 minutes left in the game, and he made a little bit of NFL history while doing so. According to Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk, the win marked Nix’s 15th career game-winning drive in the fourth quarter or overtime, officially passing Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott for the most game-winning drives in a quarterback's first three seasons in NFL history. Nix has had his fair share of criticism through his first two and a half seasons in the NFL, but winning is an important statistic, too, and that's exactly what he's done.

He also now has the chance to crush the record since he isn’t even halfway through his third season. Of course, this isn't to say the Broncos always want Nix to need to pull a comeback late in the fourth quarter, but it's certainly nice to know he is more than capable of delivering one when it's needed. Nix still has a long way to go if he hopes to end his NFL career with the most game-winning drives, though.

The player to beat is none other than former quarterback Tom Brady, who finished his career with 58. The No. 12 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft out of Oregon, Nix has thrown for 9,199 yards, 63 touchdowns and 26 interceptions in his professional career.
