The Denver Broncos are set to face the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 5 on Sunday. The Broncos will be looking to bounce back against the Chargers after losing their most recent game to the San Francisco 49ers by a 24-14 final score. Yet, as they prepare for their game against the Chargers, they have now been given some bad injury news about two players.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Broncos cornerback Patrick Surtain II and wide receiver Pat Bryant are both expected to be placed on injured reserve. This is certainly tough news for the Broncos, as Surtain and Bryant are two important parts of their roster. Yet, with this news, they are now going to need to adjust to not having these two in their lineup for the time being.
Surtain has appeared in four games this season with the Broncos, where he has recorded 21 combined tackles. This is after the four-time Pro Bowler had one interception and 47 combined tackles for Denver this past season. As for Bryant, he has one touchdown, nine receptions, and 133 receiving yards in four games this season for the Broncos.
Overall, the two-year NFL veteran was having a nice start to the season, so it is tough for the Broncos that he will now be forced to miss time.
