The Denver Broncos made a big trade splash earlier this offseason, acquiring former Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle. Now, Waddle enters the 2026 NFL season as one of the Broncos' most important offensive weapons. Waddle is one of the league's most dynamic athletes, able to put his elite speed to use in all areas of the field.
After practice on Tuesday, Broncos offensive coordinator Davis Webb outlined his ambitious plans for Waddle this coming season. He’s going to play everywhere. Except offensive line," Webb said of Waddle, via team insider Zac Stevens.
In his fifth and final season with the Dolphins last year, Waddle reeled in 64 catches for 910 yards and six touchdowns as a bright spot for Miami's struggling offensive unit. Now, he joins a Denver wide receiver room featuring Courtland Sutton and Troy Franklin, catching passes from star quarterback Bo Nix. The Broncos will open up their 2026 regular-season schedule with a Week 1 "Monday Night Football" matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sept. 14.
