On Thursday, NFL insider Jordan Schultz reported that the Browns are expected to sign wide receiver Jimmy Horn Jr., who played for the Panthers in Week 1 but was waived by the organization on Tuesday. Now he's ready for a fresh start with a new franchise, reuniting with Sanders, his former college quarterback at Colorado.
Horn will fight for a depth role behind starters Jerry Jeudy, Denzel Boston, and KC Concepcion as the Browns gear up for their Week 2 matchup against the Buccaneers. Across his two seasons with the Buffaloes, both with Shedeur at quarterback, Horn hauled in 95 catches for 1,008 yards and seven touchdowns, averaging 10.6 yards per catch.
He also racked up 393 kickoff return yards, averaging 23.1 yards per return. He was the Panthers' sixth-round pick in 2025 and finished his rookie season with 108 receiving yards on 11 catches. Carolina waived Horn after a disappointing performance in the season opener, in which he muffed a punt in the second quarter that eventually led to a Bears field goal.
