The Tennessee Titans went 3-14 to open up Cam Ward's career as the No. 1 overall pick in 2025. And now through five games in 2026, the team is still in search of its first win. The Titans fell to the previously-winless Houston Texans in Week 5, extending their record to 0-5.
When speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Ward was asked if his early career with the Titans has been more difficult than he initially expected. We’re in the 1% for a reason," Ward replied. "When they drafted me, it was one of the best days ever.
I get to go to an organization that didn’t have the wins, the championships that everybody had, and I get to be a part of it when we get a chance to turn it around. We have that opportunity each and every week, and I look forward to doing that." Through 17 starts in his rookie season, Ward completed 59.8% of his pass attempts for 3,169 yards, 15 touchdowns and seven interceptions, while rushing for 159 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. So far this year, he's completed 63.2% of his passes for 896 yards, three touchdowns, three interceptions and two more scores with his legs.
Ward and the Titans will look to notch their first win of the year against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 6.
