Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was not impressed with one aspect of Sunday's victory over the Cincinnati Bengals. During the fourth quarter of the 30-27 win at Acrisure Stadium, the veteran signal-caller delivered a bullet pass over the middle to Michael Pittman Jr, who was unable to reel in the catch despite the ball hitting both his hands. The poor outcome resulted in an unfavorable third-and-10, drawing a demonstrative reaction from the quarterback.
"That play (expletive) sucks (expletive)," Rodgers was caught on camera seemingly saying toward head coach Mike McCarthy, as seen on CBS. "(Expletive) sucks (expletive)!” McCarthy, of course, was the guy who called the play... If you'd like to see the moment, you can click here.
It's hardly the first time the 42-year-old has snapped in the direction of his longtime play-caller, but especially interesting considering the words were so easily picked up by amateur lip-readers. Rodgers and McCarthy, in their final season together, will certainly be fine in the long run. Pittsburgh fans might want to hope the latter stops calling that play in particular.
