Olympic gold medallist Luke Campbell would come out of retirement to fight Conor Benn without hesitation. Campbell, who took gold at London 2012, fought at the highest level as a pro too, boxing Vasiliy Lomachenko and Ryan Garcia in an impressive professional career. Benn incurred Campbell's wrath when he disparaged the Olympic champion's performance against Garcia.
Campbell hasn't boxed since that fight in 2021. But goaded by Benn, he would make a return. "Once it's in your blood, it's in your blood," Campbell told Sky Sports.
"I'm not officially making a comeback, but I'm in training as always and if there was an opportunity that presented itself then I would take it." Campbell is now the mayor of Hull and East Yorkshire. But boxing is remains on his mind. There's combinations flying through my head all the time.
