If there’s one thing celebrity wedding planner Mindy Weiss knows, it’s how to create a moment. Now, the woman behind the recent wedding of Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco, plus weddings and parties for Finneas, Justin Bieber and The Kardashians is putting her touch on Ring Pop, the popular candy brand known for its colorful ring-shaped suckers.
While Ring Pop has helped people pop the question since the 80s, Weiss has teamed up with the brand for The Wedding Collection, to unveil Ring Pops that help people say “I Do!” The new Ring Pop release features the mini lollipops in three romance-inspired flavors: “First Kiss” watermelon; “Main Squeeze” citrus; and “Berry in Love” strawberry. Each Ring Pop is wrapped like a wedding favor, with occasion-appropriate sayings adorning the packaging (think phrases like “Off the Market,” “Ring it On” and “I Said Yes”). And just so you don’t ruin your first kiss, Ring Pop says The Wedding Collection features “lighter-toned gems” that are designed to not stain your lips or teeth.
Weiss was tapped as the creative director for the collection, and the event planner helped with everything from the packaging design to the gemstone colors. She says she was excited to offer another way for couples to create a memorable moment on their big day. My job was simply to give it the packaging, the polish and the occasions it deserved.
This is Ring Pop, all grown up, but still exactly as fun as you remember it.” “Ring Pop has always been a symbol of celebration, and lately, of love,” adds Joanna Firestone, Marketing Director at Bazooka Brands. With the wedding industry booming and packaging aesthetics mattering more to consumers than ever, it felt like the right moment to make it official. And there was no better partner than celebrity wedding planner Mindy Weiss.” The Ring Pop Wedding Collection launches exclusively in stores at David’s Bridal and online on Amazon, which has 15-count and 50-count bags of Ring Pops available here.
