Celine Dion makes rare public appearance before stage return after rare illness battle

Celine Dion made a rare public appearance in Paris ahead of her first series of concerts since revealing her diagnosis with stiff-person syndrome. The Grammy-winning star waved and blew kisses to fans, who shouted "We're so happy to see you" as she stepped out in the French capital on Friday (28 August). Dion is settling in to prepare for her 16-show residency in September and October at the Plenitude Arena.

Her upcoming concerts mark a major milestone after years away from touring due to her rare neurological disorder she disclosed in 2022.
