The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Las Vegas Raiders 30-27 in their Week 4 matchup, but it came at a cost. During the first quarter, Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice exited with a hamstring injury. After catching a pass from Patrick Mahomes, Rice noticeably started limping before forcing himself out of bounds.
It is also important to note that this was a non-contact injury for Rice. This is certainly concerning, and the Chiefs will be hoping that he will not need to miss more game action from here. Rice is a key part of the Chiefs' roster, so they will need to adjust if he ends up needing to be sidelined.
He is one of Mahomes' top offensive weapons, after all. Rice has appeared in four games this season with the Chiefs, where he has one touchdown, 13 receptions, and 190 receiving yards. This is after he posted five touchdowns, 53 receptions, and 571 receiving yards in eight games during this past season with the Chiefs.
With numbers like these, he is a solid part of the Chiefs' roster. It will now be interesting to see how much time Rice will need to miss from here. The Chiefs are certainly hoping that he will be good to go for their next game on Oct. 18 against the Los Angeles Chargers, but time will tell what happens on that front.
