Christy Carlson Romano, who first broke out on the Disney Channel sitcom “Even Stevens,” is opening up about her experience working alongside co-star Shia LaBeouf. Speaking with Amanda Hirsch of the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast on Tuesday, Romano said that she and LaBeouf were “like oil and water,” despite being just 14 and 12 years old, respectively, at the time. Romano explained that their incompatibility on set stemmed from how they were raised.

The comment came after “That’s So Raven” star Raven-Symoné was asked who she’d put on her Disney Mount Rushmore, to which she responded that LaBeouf would be one of them. On Tuesday, the actress also posted a photo of herself with LaBeouf and his father on the set of “Even Stevens” to Instagram.
