Fans are angry with a college football referee after what he did to an East Carolina player on Saturday. East Carolina defensive back David Coleman Jr. was helped off the field during the game against Temple after an official slipped and fell on his legs. After seeing the incident, fans called out the referee.
"WTF is that ref even running for?" one fan asked. "Nah man, he needs to be fired." "This is legitimately absurd," another fan said. "He even tried changing his direction to go to the right once the player took a step that way," one fan stated.
"What was he even doing???? "I have been saying for years. Do not need to be on the field," a fan said.
"Please get them out of the way. All they do is mess everything up. Referees are the dumbest thing in the entire world when it comes to an American football game.
"Get them out of the way, and I hope this player sues the referee administration for every last dime they have. I hope the referees lose so much money over this that they can’t even afford to even think about being referees ever again!!!!" Coleman is in his first season with East Carolina after playing high school football at Camden County High School in Kingsland, Georgia. Entering the Temple game, Coleman recorded six tackles in three appearances.
East Carolina entered the Temple game with a 3-4 record and a 1-2 record in the American Conference. In the previous two games, the Pirates lost to UAB and Memphis in overtime.
