Craig Carton, the longtime sportscaster best known, perhaps, for his stints on New Yorks’ WFAN, will join Fox’s Outkick sports-media outlet, hosting a new three-days-a-week program for a national audience. The new program will feature Carton’s unique take on national sports and culture, but also feature interviews with notable guests. Carton will keep his hosting duties on WFAN, where he leads “Afternoon Drive.” He was previously the co-host of the station’s long-running “Boomer & Carton” show for ten years.

He had been hosting the daily podcast “The Craig Carton Show,” for Fox Sports and its corporate sibling Red Seat Ventures. I’ve always been a fan and appreciate their authenticity and willingness to speak their minds,” Carton said in a statement “It’s something I’ve done throughout my career and will do during this next chapter of hosting ‘The Craig Carton Show.'” Outkick was founded in 2011 by entrepreneur and personality Clay Travis and acquired by Fox Corp. in 2021. At the time, Fox CEO Lachlan Murdoch said he welcomed the chance to wade into “sports news, and more critically, sports opinion.” The site features commentary, podcasts and news built around sports and culture and many of its hosts like to push back on mainstream media stories.

Travis stepped away from running the outlet earlier this year, and Outkick was integrated into Fox News Media’s digital division. Fox has recently placed new emphasis on working with creators and influencers, and has integrated several upstart digital personalities into its business, including at Fox News, which struck a pact with the popular conservative podcast “Ruthless.”
