The Oregon Ducks suffered a massive upset loss this past Saturday, falling to the Oklahoma State Cowboys with a 39-31 final score. After the loss, senior quarterback Dante Moore was nowhere to be found as head coach Dan Lanning took the podium to speak with reporters. No reason was given for Moore's absence, leading to many believing he was ducking the public eye after an embarrassing loss.
Lanning was asked about Moore's postgame absence during a press conference on Monday. "I don't think he chose not to. Did you know he was getting two IVs after the game, he was dehydrated," Lanning, who was clearly annoyed by the question, explained.
"He's cramping up on the field. I think the first thing we're going to do after the game is get treatment. ... Sorry he wasn't able to give you an interview." Moore completed 14 of his 29 pass attempts for 191 yards and two touchdowns in Oregon's loss.
He also took four sacks and finished the game with -9 yards rushing. Lanning, Moore and the Ducks will look to get their season back on track in a matchup against Portland State on Friday night.
