Bryson DeChambeau is hopeful LIV Golf can 'exist forever' as he looks ahead to the breakaway league's intentions to relaunch as LIV 2.0. While the likes of Jon Rahm, Tyrrell Hatton and Sergio Garcia are among those to have indicated they will not be participating in the league's new iteration, DeChambeau, who has been tight-lipped on the matter, spoke of his optimism about the future of the league. LIV has undergone a restructuring since the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund (PIF) announced it was ending its financing of the circuit at the end of the 2026 season.

So, we made £5.96m ($8m) EBIDTA (Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation) last year. "The teams were doing well. But all of the player payments and everything got pushed down to the teams when they went bankrupt, because the top co. [company] wasn't being run effectively.

"No fault to each other, but we thought there was a lot more capital that was going to be at play from the guys that were funding it." Uncertainty still remains over what LIV 2.0 could look like; however, DeChambeau stressed the new circuit would not be a 'competitor' to the PGA Tour. "The business model makes a lot of sense," he said. "We're actually working through that right now for this new model.
