Dell Computer was incorporated in 1984, borne from Michael Dell's fascination with making computers while enrolled in a Texas college. Shares began trading in 1988, then doubled in five months starting in November 1990. Dell stock doubled again between June 1992 and November 1992.
Dell's quarterly earnings then turned down, and in 1993, it plummeted more than 70%.
