Hidden on top of a ferry terminal is a nifty statue of three dolphins, and one of Hong Kong's best sunset viewpoints. It is particularly popular with mainland tourists who arrive directly by ferry from Chinese cities in the Pearl River Delta region.
Many of these tourists will disembark at the China Ferry Terminal on Canton Road, then head straight to the Star Ferry Pier and Ocean Terminal, both places normally jam-packed with people, to photograph Victoria Harbour. Unknown to most, the rooftop of the Ferry Terminal that they arrived at and will depart from, is one of the best harbour viewing spots. The unobstructed westward views from the 10,000 square foot rooftop promenade/observation deck are particularly vivid at sunset, with few people to hinder photo taking.
The other photography subject on this podium level is the Dolphin Sunset statue, consisting of three silver dolphins breaching from a square fountain. At sunset, the sky's hues are reflected on the statue and water's surface. After nightfall, the fountain's coloured lights illuminate the statue, with the changing colours strikingly shining off the dolphins, contrasting with the dark skies.

Take the short escalator up to the first floor, then the long escalator to get up to the podium level.
