Drake Maye has already accomplished a lot through his first two NFL seasons with the New England Patriots. Last year, the former No. 2 overall pick finished second in league MVP voting as he led the Patriots to an AFC Championship title and Super Bowl appearance. Now, he's heading into Year 3 as one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL.
During a recent interview with Men's Health Magazine, Maye revealed three things he hopes to accomplish by the end of his NFL career: a Super Bowl victory, 15 or more active seasons and an impact in his community off the field. It’s hard not to say play for a certain amount of time. 15 years for me would be awesome at my position. I think the other goal would just be having an impact, not only on the field, but off the field.
What I do outside of football. [Those are] probably the three that come to mind first… and knowing all those are within reach is the coolest thing," Maye said. Maye completed a league-leading 72% of his pass attempts in 2025, throwing for 4,394 yards, 31 touchdowns and eight interceptions. He also rushed for 450 yards and four touchdowns on the ground.
Maye and the Patriots will begin their 2026 season with a Week 1 Super Bowl rematch against the Seattle Seahawks on Wednesday night.
