The Philadelphia Eagles suffered a tough 24-20 loss to the Los Angeles Rams in Week 4. Now, following their loss to the Rams, the Eagles have gotten some bad injury news regarding running back Tank Bigsby. According to ESPN's Ian Rapoport, Bigsby suffered an injury in the Eagles' loss to the Rams and is undergoing core muscle surgery.
In addition, Rapoport shared that the Eagles are placing Bigsby on injured reserve and that they are hoping he can return to game action in six weeks or less. With the Eagles struggling right now, it is certainly tough news that Bigsby is set to miss a good amount of time. He is a solid part of their offense, so the Eagles will now need to adjust while he is sidelined for them.
Bigsby has appeared in four games this season with the Eagles, where he has recorded one touchdown, 28 rushes, and 91 rushing yards. This comes after he had two touchdowns, 63 rushes, and 356 rushing yards split between the Jacksonville Jaguars and Eagles during this past season. It will now be interesting to see when Bigsby is given the green light to return for the Eagles.
Hopefully it takes less than six weeks for him to play again for Philadelphia.
