The Philadelphia Eagles and Tennessee Titans will need their players to be properly hydrated before their Week 2 contest. The weather has affected a lot of college football games this weekend, especially with lightning delays. Some NFL games will have a threat of inclement weather.
For the Titans and Eagles, it will be an endurance test for both teams to brace the heat. Per Adam Schefter of ESPN, the temperature is expected to be approximately 95 degrees in Nashville for the Eagles-Titans game, which would be a record for a Tennessee home game. "It is expected to be 95 degrees in Nashville for today’s Eagles-Titans game, with a heat index pushing past 105 degrees, making it one of if not potentially the hottest games in Titans’ franchise history," Schefter posted on X.

The best remedy for both teams would have been for players to hydrate properly in the days leading up to Sunday's contest. Per the Titans PR, Tennessee's Week 1 contest against the New York Jets was the second-hottest game in the franchise's history.
The hottest temperature the Titans have played in was 93 degrees in 2019. "The temperature at kickoff was 90 degrees, making it the second-hottest game for the team — home or away — in the franchise’s 'Titans era,' which began in 1999," Titans PR posted on X. "The only higher kickoff temperature was 93 degrees at Nissan Stadium on Sept. 15, 2019, when the Titans played the Indianapolis Colts.
"Against the Jets, the relative humidity was 57 percent, and the heat index at kickoff was 98 degrees." The Titans didn't play in their first game under head coach Robert Saleh in the heat. The Jets defeated Tennessee 23-10. The Titans offense mustered just 195 total yards in the loss.
