The Year of the Catcher has been more or less as advertised. Sure, attrition has whittled down the ranks from Draft Day, and not every catcher of promise has lived up to it. But upstarts like Dillon Dingler and Liam Hicks have added to the position's surplus, ensuring it'll once again offer more than enough quality options to go around in a one-catcher league (and perhaps just enough in a two-catcher league).
We've only barely gotten acquainted with recent call-ups Leonardo Bernal and Ethan Salas, but their upside for 2027 would appear to be considerable. They won't, however, be ready to contend for the No. 1 spot at the position, which is open now that Ben Rice is no longer eligible there. Note that the focus here is standard 5x5 scoring (such as Rotisserie leagues), but scroll a little further, and you'll see my rankings for points leagues as well. 1.
