Even with Kyle Schwarber, Yandy Diaz, Cody Bellinger, Tyler Soderstrom, Isaac Paredes, Kazuma Okamoto and Luis Arraez (to name a few) losing eligibility at the position, the surplus is still unlike anywhere else. And yes, some of the multi-eligible players will be drafted to play some other position, and sure, if you dawdle in a 15-team Rotisserie league, you might get skunked at corner infield. Consider all the recent standouts that (spoiler alert) don't appear in this top 20 -- guys like Josh Naylor, Michael Busch, Kyle Stowers and Spencer Steer.
They're left out for good reason, but anyone ruling out a bounce-back season for them is either lacking in perspective or imagination. Let's also not forget Ty France and TJ Rumfield, who have both been solid in 2026 but never had a hope of cracking this top 20. It's the sort of surplus that can make everyone seem too low when forced to rank them this way.
I've, of course, assessed each player individually, but when in doubt, ties have gone to multi-eligibility, reliability and theoretical upside, in that order.
