Elizabeth Holmes, the former Theranos CEO whose rise and fall became one of Silicon Valley's most notorious stories, is back in the spotlight ahead of the release of a new documentary about her life. The nearly three-hour film follows Holmes beginning 34 days before she was sent to prison, when she invited a “skeptical” film crew to document her “every move,” according to studio A24. Directed by Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim, You Can See Everything premiered during a secret screening at the Telluride Film Festival earlier this month.
The trailer features a tense exchange captured in an extreme close-up between Holmes and Fielder in a home. As they speak, a baby coos in the background, eventually revealed to be in a bouncer Holmes is rocking with her foot. I can promise you that,” Holmes says in the trailer.

You’re being real right now?” Fielder asks. At a post-screening Q&A at Telluride, Fielder reflected on the film, saying he is “really struggling to this day to understand what I experienced,” according to The New York Times. Newsweek reached out to A24 for comment.
A24’s You Can See Everything will be released in theaters nationwide on October 16, 2026. Elizabeth Holmes is currently serving her federal prison sentence at the Federal Prison Camp in Bryan, Texas, a minimum-security facility. Holmes officially reported to prison on May 30, 2023.
While she was originally sentenced to 11 years and three months in prison following her conviction, federal court guidelines and good behavior credits have since reduced her term. According to Bureau of Prisons records, her current projected release date is February 22, 2030. Holmes was the founder and CEO of Theranos.
