The European Union is investing €200 million ($232 million) in Greenland, part of the bloc’s campaign to tighten links to the island as U.S. President Donald Trump claims it should belong to the U.S. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced the funds during a two-day visit to the island’s capital, Nuuk, meant to show support for the semiautonomous territory of EU member Denmark.
