Police searches of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s homes face scrutiny in a new High Court case.
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has asked the High Court to quash the search warrants behind police raids on two of his homes during an investigation linked to the Jeffrey Epstein files, the U.K. judiciary confirmed Monday. Mountbatten-Windsor, formerly known as Prince Andrew, is challenging whether Thames Valley Police acted lawfully when it obtained warrants for searches at his Sandringham Estate residence and his former home, Royal Lodge in Windsor. The filing was first reported by The Telegraph, which follows his February arrest on suspicion of misconduct in public office.
A hearing on the former prince's legal action is due to begin later this week. This is a breaking news story and will be updated.
