I try not to say this when writing this column, because everything in here is our favorite. But this week, I cannot lie to you. First is the new New Balance 990, the 990v7.
I’ve always had a soft spot for that line, being like the only Made in U.S.A. sneaker, as well as just a genuinely well-made shoe. But this new iteration, with it’s slightly more sleek upper, and hits of warm color in the mid-foot, is gorgeous. My other favorite is this Filson and Chris Stapleton collaboration.
Stapleton has done a few collaborations with the brand, last doing a really incredible iteration of its classic twill bags. But this week, it’s all clothing, and it’s highlighted by this tweak on the Mackinaw cruiser jacket. Besides that, there is some solid stuff from name’s both big and small.
Mr Porter is stocking Wythe, a cult favorite New York brand, and Prada put out some new versions of its America’s Cup sneakers. It’s not enough that the man is a generational singer/songwriter. Chris Stapleton also has a little bit of design in his bag.
