Jodie Sweetin is giving fans a health update on her “Full House” co-star Dave Coulier, eight months after the actor announced he was in remission from tongue cancer. Speaking with People, Sweetin said Coulier is doing “really well,” and she’d just spent a weekend at his house with Andrea Barber, who played Kimmy Gibler on the ABC sitcom. The actress agreed Coulier has had “such a tough battle,” explaining that “sitting around and having coffee with him in the morning meant so much.” The two recently connected at an arts fundraiser in Detroit, which was “so much fun,” she added.
Yeah, we’re like obnoxiously annoyingly close… We’re a family.” Sweetin played Stephanie Tanner on the beloved sitcom, while Coulier played Joey Gladstone, Danny Tanner’s best friend (though he’s referred to as “Uncle Joey” on the show). In Feb., Coulier revealed he was in remission after undergoing treatment for tongue cancer, a diagnosis he had shared in December. He had beaten Stage 3 non-Hodgkin Lymphoma nearly a year before that.
And what a journey this has been.” Three months later, the actor took to social media to respond to fans who pointed out his changing appearance following both cancers, sharing on Instgram that he hadn’t been able to eat solid food in months and lost 45 pounds. So you’re right on with what you’re seeing and what you’re hearing.”
