New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo made plenty of headlines on the field on Sunday with an excellent performance, as well as off the field following the game with some pointed comments towards the NFL. After receiving no touches in the team's Week 6 loss to the New Orleans Saints, Skattebo made the most of his opportunities in Week 7, rushing for a season-high 124 yards and finding the end zone in a 27-21 overtime win for the Giants over the Houston Texans. Unfortunately, Skattebo may very well have a fine coming his way after being the subject of an unnecessary roughness call early on in the game.

After the game, Skattebo was asked by media members what he was told by officials after being flagged for unnecessary roughness on the play. While he did keep that conversation with officials private, he made it clear that he isn't exactly happy about the call given that the NFL often posts these types of runs from Skattebo on social media, only to fine him for them later.
"Yeah, I'll keep that conversation between us," Skattebo told reporters. "But I will say the NFL loves to post me when I do stuff like that. But then also wants to take stuff from me.
I'm going to run the ball like I want to run the ball. If I'm going to continue to get flags for it or fined for it, guess I'm going to play for free." But on paper, it is hard to see much changing from Skattebo considering his game is certainly built on his physicality and ability to break tackles.
Regardless, the Giants and Skattebo will look to build on their momentum built on Sunday when they next take the field in Week 9, which will come after their hard-earned bye week in Week 8.
