Glastonbury Festival has confirmed that tickets to the 2027 event will go on sale this October, with entry costing more than £400 for the first time. Tickets for the weekend will be priced at £408 including a £5 booking fee per ticket – an increase of £29.50 from 2025, when tickets cost £378.50. While tickets with coach travel are available from Thursday 1 October at 6pm, general tickets will go on sale at 9am on Sunday 4 October.
As part of the festival’s campaign to stop touts, anyone who wishes to attend Glastonbury must be registered in advance. You can check your registration status on the official website. The 2027 festival will take place between 23 to 27 June.
Fans will be bracing themselves for the usual frenzy, as tickets typically sell out in under an hour with thousands of hopefuls joining the online queues. Headliners for the 2027 festival have yet to be announced, but rumours have been swirling for months around acts such as Harry Styles, Taylor Swift, Fontaines DC and Stevie Wonder. While Madonna was strongly believed to be headlining – particularly after she seemed to allude to this in a BBC interview with Graham Norton – festival organiser Emily Eavis said the pop icon would not be performing on the Pyramid Stage next year.
This revenue helps to fund journalism across The Independent. The 2025 festival was headlined by The 1975, Neil Young and the Chrome Hearts, and US pop star Olivia Rodrigo, with further sets from Charli XCX, RAYE, Busta Rhymes and Alanis Morissette, and secret sets from Pulp, Lorde, Lewis Capaldi and Haim. In a five-star review, The Independent called Rodrigo’s headline set – in which she brought out The Cure frontman Robert Smith for a singalong to “Friday I’m in Love” – “a killer show and therapy rolled into one”.
