The GTA 6 nude Lucia leak may unexpectedly turn out to be a good thing for Rockstar and Take-Two

For a while, it seemed like Take-Two and Rockstar Games were facing a doomsday scenario that could have seen a playable build of Grand Theft Auto 6 leaked to the public a month before its official release. Cyberleek, the leaker behind the scheme, was encouraging people to invest at least $30 million into a meme cryptocurrency in order to earn GTA 6's apparent development build. To reach that number, the leaker tied early investment milestones to footage of GTA 6 co-protagonist, Lucia Caminos, fully nude.

Well, viewers readily donated to see the character's digital privates — but now, fans who have had their fill are pulling their money back out. The early market cap milestones were all tied to Lucia in some way: a couple of millions of dollars to see her in a bikini; a few million to get gameplay showing Lucia topless. To get Lucia fully naked, GTA 6 fans had to raise $4 million in Cyberleek's cryptocurrency.

For $6 million, Cyberleek promised fans would receive naked Lucia gameplay clips in 4K resolution. All of these milestones were smashed within hours, resulting in a frenzy among horny gamers on social media. GTA 6 fans were sharing GIFs and videos of Lucia skydiving naked or were posting crass comments about the character's body in thousands of social media posts.

Fans had been begging Cyberleek for such footage since the start of the leaks back in August, so the unauthorized gameplay was a big deal for gooners. Less than 24 hours after reaching such highs, Cyberleek's ploy has officially crashed. Prior to the chaos, the Cyberleek coin only had a market cap of just under $1.7 million.

At the peak of trading, the market cap reached a high of $8.2 million. Cyberleek dumped their developer tokens earlier this year, so the leaker couldn't have been the engine behind the 71% drop. The leaker could still have enjoyed a big payday from the overarching ruckus thanks to transaction fees, but the bulk of the money coming out of the market cap appears to be outside investors.

Despite this mass exodus, Cyberleek is still trying to tempt GTA 6 fans with new milestones. These rewards include gameplay clips of things like tank sequences, a private lap dance, and a beach massacre. Cyberleek posted one set of milestones and updated them with a wider assortment of tiers within only a couple of hours.
