Blood Sweat Honey, a talent scouting, consulting and representation firm for independent filmmakers, has launched Cinema Machine to distribute films theatrically and digitally and develop and manage projects, bookings and contracts. The new division will include genre label Graven Image, focused on horror, sci-fi and cult films. Chad McKim Miller, who was previously a VP at Gravitas Ventures, will join Cinema Machine as head of distribution and sales.

Blood Sweat Honey president Alex Nohe, a producers rep and distribution consultant who co-founded the company in 2017 with Jeff “The Dude” Dowd, the inspiration behind “The Big Lebowski,” has guided more than 500 independent filmmakers, helping them to find their audience and secure distribution. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced Reece Feldman will be the 99th Oscars social media ambassador and red carpet correspondent. The digital creator and filmmaker will participate in awards season events including the Academy Museum Gala, Governors Awards and Nominees Luncheon.

His role will culminate in interviews on the Oscars red carpet. Feldman has built an audience online by sharing content on his account @guywithamoviecamera, which gives behind-the-scenes access to film sets, premieres and awards shows. His directorial debut short film premiered during the 2025 Cannes Film Festival as part of its partnership with TikTok.

The awards will air live on ABC and broadcast outlets at 7 p.m.
