Sunderland secured their first points of the season as Wilson Isidor's effort earned them a 1-0 win against Fulham. Substitute Isidor netted with 15 minutes to go in the second half at the Stadium of Light as the Black Cats bounced back from their opening-day defeat at Ipswich. For Fulham, however, it is two defeats from two.
They looked bright in stages but rarely threatened the Sunderland goal. In a game of few chances, it eventually took the changes from Regis Le Bris to settle the result. Isidor had one glorious chance on 71 minutes, but somehow managed to hit the post from a glorious position after being teed up by Enzo Le Fee.
But he made up for it a few minutes later with the winner, turning the ball into an empty net from fellow sub Habib Diarra's ball in, after Bernd Leno had missed an attempt to cut the cross out. 26: CHANCE! First real chance of the game! Iwobi drops in and plays a lovely ball over the defence into King.
He's ghosted into the box, but his first touch takes him away from goal and then he lifts his shot over the bar. 57: So nearly an opening again for Fulham. And he slides a pass through to Garcia. He gets into the box and gets his shot away, but Mukiele has got back to make the block.
